These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CVLTVRECREATOR, a label infrastructure platform where independent artists monetize their work directly through subscriptions, content, merch, and events. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We have tried to write these Terms the way we write everything: plainly.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to open an artist account that receives payouts. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that happens under your account. Keep your password private and tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Artist accounts are for creators publishing and monetizing their own work. Fan accounts are for supporting artists, purchasing, and participating in communities. One person may hold both. You agree to provide accurate information, including payout and tax details where applicable, and to keep it current.
Artists own their work. Full stop. Uploading music, art, video, or any other content to CVLTVRECREATOR transfers nothing. You retain all rights, including your masters and publishing. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive license we need to host, store, reproduce, and deliver your content to the fans you choose to reach through the platform. That license ends for content you remove, except for copies already delivered to paying supporters and archival copies required for legal compliance.
You are responsible for what you upload. You represent that you own or have licensed the rights to your content, including samples, features, and artwork. We respond to valid takedown notices under applicable copyright law and will terminate repeat infringers.
Fan subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future charges and access continues through the period already paid. Prices are set by artists and may change with notice before your next renewal.
Purchases of merch, tickets, and drops are fulfilled by the artist or their designated fulfillment partners. Refund and exchange terms are stated at checkout. Where the law grants you mandatory refund rights, those rights are unaffected by anything in these Terms.
Artists pay nothing upfront to use CVLTVRECREATOR. There is no advance, no debt, and no recoupment. The platform earns a revenue share instead: its share of subscription revenue starts at 20 percent and decreases as an artist grows, store purchases carry a flat 50 percent share that covers production and fulfillment costs, and event tickets carry a flat 25 percent share. The current schedule applicable to your account is always visible in your dashboard.
Artists are paid monthly, net of payment processing fees, with transaction-level transparency. Payouts are made through our payment partners, subject to minimum thresholds, identity verification, and holds reasonably necessary to manage fraud, chargebacks, and refunds.
You are responsible for taxes on your earnings. We provide transaction records and any tax documentation required of us by law, but we do not provide tax advice.
Do not use the platform to infringe rights, harass people, distribute malware, spam, scrape data, or break the law. Do not attempt to circumvent platform fees by moving transactions that originate on the platform off it while continuing to use platform infrastructure to service them. Do not impersonate other artists or misrepresent affiliation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, and where practical we will tell you what happened and why.
You may close your account at any time. Artists who close accounts keep their content, their fan relationships, and any earned balance, which we pay out on the normal schedule. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material violation of these Terms, fraud, or legal necessity. If we terminate without cause, we will give reasonable notice and pay out earned balances.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not a party to the relationship between artists and fans beyond providing the infrastructure that connects them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from these Terms or the platform is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars or the amounts you paid us (or we retained from your sales) in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email at least fourteen days before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact page.
